Whom do you prefer, Tweedle-Dum or Tweedle-Dee? Lyle Menedez, or Eric Menendez? Six of one, or half a dozen of another?
On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, the voters of L.A.'s City Council District 2 will cast their ballots in a run-off.
Unfortunately, there's no material difference between the two carpet-bagging special interest career and wannabe career politicians.
Voters must choose not the better of two good candidates, but instead the proverbial lesser of two evils: Paul Krekorian or Chris Essel. The former is one of the career politicians in Sacramento who have brought this state to its current multi-billion-dollar bankrupt condition. The latter is another developer minion by the folks who brought you Antonio Villaraigosa.
If I lived in CD 2, I would skip this election.
You read that right.
I'm done with the whole "lesser of two evils." If someone wants my vote, he has to be good, not just slightly less terrible than someone else.
Boycotting an election sends a message to potential candidates...
