Chelsea, at last the courts are obeying the law instead of some friend of the politicos. As I remember, Greig Smith agreed with Santa Clarita, especially when the developer wanted LACITY to pay for grading and to bring water, roads and power to this unbelievably hilly site. I wrote then and repeat, the owner of that property should take a tax deduction and donate it to the Santa Susana Mountain Park. That was the same kind of deal as the Washington Mutusl proposal of their 3000 acre land-locked project to which our Victory Blvd was the only access. LA City and County and its residents would have suffered this inconvenience while the property taxes would have been paid to our good neighbor, Ventura County. Washington Mutual finally donated the property to the State Park aand I know they took the tax credits for their move.
